The Theatre of Ephesus on the slopes of Panayir Dagi ( mount) was built during the reign of Alexander the Great successor, Lysimachos, between 306 - 281 B.C. The building was altered many times by the time St Paul was famously found guilty of preaching against Artemis & Diana and banished from the city after a 3 year stay.
